The Foundation of ZGLASS
The background of ZGLASS is a journey of evolution and fusion. The foundation of ZGLASS began over 35 years ago when Rich Brummett began a lifelong career in automobile glass services, which has witnessed immense progression in tools, materials, and techniques over the years.

During that time, the auto glass industry was going through a significant change transitioning from a manually processed referral, billing, and payments to Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), a systematic process where such activities are handled electronically.

The Innovation
Richard was one of the early pioneers in bringing EDI technology to the AGRR Industry by developing a software program for use by insurers and installers. The software led to the Incorporation of GlassComp Network, Inc., a third-party administrator coordinating with the insurance industry to provide highly successful Electronic Data Interchange solutions.

GlassComp worked successfully with some of the nation's leading insurers processing and paying hundreds of millions of dollars to thousands of independent auto glass retailers in all 50 states throughout the US, involving hundreds of thousands of auto glass comprehensive insurance claims.

The First Working Model
Richard saw a need to create a new way to handle and install vehicle windshields that substantially reduced much of the physical effort. His first prototype was a van mounted counter weighted arm system. In a chance meeting with Douglas Rasmussen, Rich invited Doug to see his innovation, which later culminated to a unique partnership.

Their collaboration enabled the design and development of an assistive device to install large format windshields in cars and trucks to allow a single Installation technician to install any windshield without any additional technicians help. What followed was an overhead apparatus with an ideal match of power and precision. The system worked so well that ZGLASS has become the go to source for RV glass services in the 70-mile radius.

Merger with ARi
To expand and refine the ZG3 technology and ZGLASS procedures, it was determined a merger with ARi would be a great mutually beneficial business arrangement.
